Day in my life: Asheville

I had never been to Asheville, North Carolina until this summer. It’s less than a two hour drive away from Clemson, so it’s the perfect adventure day. So one Saturday morning, my roommate and I picked up and drove to Asheville for the day. We did not go with a plan, which ended up being super nice and relaxing.

When we first got there we were starving so we found a Mediterranean brunch restaurant right downtown. It’s kind of out of both our comfort zones, but we ended up loving it.
The special was Banana Chocolate Chip pancakes so obvi that’s what we both got. Super yummy!

We then walked around downtown for a few hours. Going in and out of shops. They were all very unique and it was really cool.

We went to Double D’s for an afternoon pick me up. It’s a double decker bus/coffee shop. It was super cool!

We then headed to the Blue Ridge Parkway to drive and observe all the beautiful scenery. We were a little upset because it began to rain, which ruined some of the views, but it was still so pretty. We deff want to go back!

Where should we adventure to next??

E.

The best day.

WARNING: this post may come across as cheesy and silly and it probably is, but oh well ur just jealous that u don’t go to the best school ever. #srynotsry

So I’ve been working on this post since January 2017. It’s taken so long bc I honestly did not know how to put what I wanted to say into words. But I’m going to try. I love to blog about my life and to be real with my readers. Bc of this, I thought it would be a no brainer to post about one of the best days of my life.

Clemson Tigers vs. Alabama Crimson Tide

This was the second year in a row these two teams had battled it out for the National title. In 2016, Alabama walked away the champions. A heartbreaking end to an incredible season for the Tigers.

This year, something was different. The whole time leading up to the game I had a certain peace. The whole game day, peace. Kickoff, peace. Down the first half, peace. It sounds crazy and I know I am very superstitious about Clemson football, but the whole time I just knew Clemson would walk out as National Champions.

and they did.

After an incredible game. Literally it was crazy. Go watch it.
or at least the last drive of the game.

There are no words to describe it honestly.

I’ve been born and raised a Clemson fan. My dad went to Clemson and I’ve been drinking the kool-aid since the day I was born (you think I’m kidding, but I ain’t). It was the only place I ever dreamed of going to school. It is the only team I’ve ever cheered for. If you’ve been a Clemson fan for at least ten years, you’d know the struggle and fight this team has had. We have not always been a very good team to say the least, but I always knew the day would come where the world would know where the real Champions are.

Death Valley.
(South Carolina in case u were confused)

It honestly still feels like a dream sometimes and doesn’t seem real. I’m so thankful that I had the opportunity to go to Tampa and watch the game and was able to experience the game first hand.
Yeah our seats might have been right in the middle of “Tide Pride” (AL booster section), we might have been 5 rows from the very top of the stadium, but I was there.

And I wouldn’t trade one second of  that game, this season, the past 21 years of Clemson fan for anything in the world. #blest

Tips + Tricks to Surviving College

Well, it’s unfortunately almost that time again. The time of new notebooks, fresh pens, a new class schedule and lack of sleep is just right around the corner,

My first day back of classes is August 23rd. When do you all start back???

August 23rd officially begins my senior year of college + I do not know how to feel about it. But that’s a post for another time.

Since it is time for senior year, I think I (well for the most part) have the whole college thing down. I honestly would not have survived without these tips!

1. Go to class.

I can probably count on one hand the amount of times I have skipped class. Yes, technically you do not have to go to class because most professors don’t take attendance, but how else will you know what’s going on in class and be able to stay on top of your assignments? It’s important. You pay way too much to skip class just bc you want to sleep in. GO.

2. Pay attention in class.

Going to class is one thing (round of applause for going, bc that is a big deal). It’s also more important to pay attention. Take notes, observe, ask questions, engage, make class pals. IT makes all the difference.

3. Invest in proper attire.

Running shorts, t-shirts, tennis shoes. You can do it all in this one simple outfit. You can go to class, study efficiently, run errands, go to the gym, all in one outfit. It’s incredible. 10/10 recommend.

Tips from some of my twitter pals, Check them out!
