Weekly Update 17

Hey hey palz!!! I hope all is well with you all. I am living my best life during my week of vaycay! In case you don’t follow me on the gram…. which you should so the link is here (;  But… This past Wednesday was my last day at my first real adult job. I have a super exciting opportunity in Atlanta and I’ll start Nov 1!

My job I just quit was a 45 minute drive each way. It was tough. I was there by 6:30 or 7 every morning and that time + the commute was very draining for me. I was always exhausted at home and it was not fair to Jacob or I. Luckily, this new job is everything I have ever wanted to do in a 9-5 career. + I am so excited and expectant about it!

During my mini vaycay in between jobs has been fabulous. I’ve been sleepy… selling lots on poshmark… Shop here. Cooking.. cleaning and resting!! This Rest has been so so needed. My first day off work my devotional was all about resting in Him. I read Psalm 23. That is my prayer and desire through this next season.

Here’s part of the chapter that really has been speaking to me..

The LORD is my dshepherd; I shall not ewant.

He makes me lie down in green fpastures.
He leads me beside still waters.1
 He grestores my soul.

Just read over this. Meditate on it. It is so rich and powerful.
Highs:
Quitting my job. Rest. Entering into a new and exciting season.
Lows:
We’ve been having a lot of car issues lately but, thankfully Jacob is incredible
and fixed the problems!

#WeddingWednesday My Day Of Wedding Timeline

One of the most difficult things I found about wedding planning was creating the day of timeline. I stressed over this for days. I did not have a wedding planner… and I didn’t think I needed one + they’re crazy expensive. I think I did pretty okay on my own except for this one area. Everywhere online gave me zero help in creating a timeline. Either I had to pay for one or the free ones gave zero info….I wanted one detailed bc I didn’t want any hiccups to happen the day of my wedding… and to my knowledge nothing did go wrong. So I complied timelines and spoke to my photographer, hair stylists, and other vendors to create this timeline that I’m giving to you all for free.

Please share with your friends and reach out with any questions or help about creating a timeline. Obviously this timeline is created for my specific wedding, a 6pm ceremony in August. I did not have grandparents walk down the aisle (that is why they are seated before the processional begins) + I had 9 bridesmaids plus my mom and mother of the groom so that’s why getting ready took so long. Advise with your hair stylist! So take that as you will.

I hope sharing this helps some brides out there in the same boat I was in!

Weekly Update #16

This week was a good week!!! More updates to come later… can’t share quite yet. Stay tuned. This week was spent at work.. a lot of time at work… but what’s new?!?!? I got to spend time with some pals early in the week and that’s always just good for the soul.

Jacob and I also got to spend a lot of intentional time together this week which is always the best. Marriage is tough… learning to live with someone else is tough.. but it truly is the sweetest gift.

We also spent the weekend visiting my cousin in Auburn, AL + that’s always a fun time! Traveling to new towns is so fun!

Unfortunately, we are both sick in bed with the stomach bug…. 🙁

Highlight:
All the sweet time with friends and family!

Lowlight:
stomach bug….

Recent Purchases:
Adorable poncho that will be great for work + play. It comes in 4 colors… I got it in black.

These mule slides for work. They seem comfy and versatile. I also got these in black. I want to wear them with some wide leg cropped pants + a chunky sweater!

These snake skin flats. I love the pointed toe… it really elongates the legs.

This tank. I have a white one from loft that I wear all the time.. so I thought one in black would be good too! It comes in 7 colors.

I ran out of mascara this week so when I went back to pick up a new one. This is what I picked up.
