#WeddingWednesday Bridal Luncheon

The day before the wedding my three aunts threw me the sweetest bridal luncheon for all of my bridesmaids. They hosted it at a local restaurant in their event room so we got to have some space to ourselves which was super nice.

It was a good time to be able to relax and not stress about wedding stuff with my girls and just enjoy their company.
I’ve always known I’ve had great friends but wedding season is when I saw their love the most. I am so so grateful for each and every gal I have by my side. They make any situation better and I have never felt more love than I did on my wedding weekend. They were so intentional, excited, kind and I just loved every minute I got to spend with them. The real MVPs. It was so awesome to have all of my different friends in one place as well. I want to get married again just to be able to spend so much time with them again.

+ we got to eat some yummy foods before more wedding festivities began that evening.

Make sure you’re following me on the gram (;

#WeddingWednesday Bachelorette in Charleston

To say this past weekend was incredible would be a major understatement. Y’all I LOVE my friends. They gave me the best weekend. The whole weekend I just kept thinking how lucky I was that these are my people and how they would take out a weekend (or a few) of their busy lives to hang out and celebrate my almost marriage! We laughed all weekend and reminisced on the sweetest memories.
I’ve never felt so loved by a group of people.
I want to get married every month bc I want more weekends like this one!!

I started the weekend early on Thursday night by heading to Clemson and grabbing din at my fav Mexican place that helped me survive college. After our tummies were full of queso… I gave my bridesmaid Bailey a tour of campus bc she had never been before! We went back to my moh’s house and watched Secret Obsession on Netflix. It was soooo good!

The next morning we woke up early.. picked up starbucks and hit the road to Charleston!
We jammed to all my fav music and chatted the whole way down.

First thing when we got to Charleston was head to Shem Creek and eat at Saltwater Cowboy. We all got shrimp salads… so yummy!!

After lunch, we picked up groceries for the weekend and headed to the airbnb to unpack. I set up these cute little cups and treats for all of the girls! #IDoCrew
After we got settled, we immediately headed to Isle of Palms to soak in some sun before dinner.
When we got back to the house, all of the other girls had arrived! We had a yummy taco dinner, played games, shared stories, talked about all of our friendships, and they threw me a little lingerie shower! After that.. it was time for sleep!

We woke up early again the next morning to ensure we had the most time on the beach! We just hung out on the beach the majority of the day. It was so relaxing and great gal pal time!

After the beach, we headed back to the house to get ready for the evening.
We had dinner st Stars downtown. It was so yummy! After dinner we went up to the rooftop to hang out more! Once it got later it got super crowded so half of the group decided to head back to the airbnb and the other half of us went to dance! I only dance when I’m with my gal pals so I was taking full advantage of the occasion! Then we headed back to the house to head to bed before traveling back the next day.

Shop my dress here.

I love my friends to the end of the world. I’m glad to say my bachelorette was a success! But with friends like these how could it not be?!?!?

XOXO,
E.

#WeddingWednesday Why Engagement Sucks

Engagement is such a weird time. We decided to do a “short” engagement. Our engagement is a total 5 and 1/2 months. Which I think is on the shorter end of most engagements. I honestly have no earthly idea why people wait longer than that. That seems miserable.

The beginning of engagement was super exciting. We were securing vendors, locations, trying on dresses and deciding what we wanted our day to be like. All of these things are super exciting and a lot of fun to plan. It’s finally planning the day you have always dreamed about and pulling off everything from your Pinterest board you started when you were 15.

This process was sped up super quick considering I knew all the vendors I wanted for our wedding since November. So our process was pretty much just putting down deposits.

After we had all of our vendors locked down things started to straight line a little bit. Ever since it feels like we’re just waiting for like three months for the wedding.

So waiting is the worst. We’ve been j chillin waiting for our wedding day to show up. And it is quite frankly annoyinggggggg.

Another thing that sucks about engagement season is that we’re making all these big decisions for our life, but we’re doing them 30 miles apart via phone calls.  And making big decisions when you’re not with each other just creates room for miscommunication. I am beyond ready to be in person all the time and not talk on the phone.

Here we are 30 days away from the wedding!!!!
We are both oh so ready.
Now is crunch time… everything is coming together and the wedding stress of making sure everything is planned and everything is paid for is all happening now. It’s a lot. Now we’re still 30 miles apart trying to keep track of every detail.

phew. wedding planning ain’t no joke.
and engagement season is really just when the devil attacks your relationship the most.
We’re almost there and I am so so ready to be married to JAcob.
He’s the best.

How did you/are you surviving engagement season????

XOXO,
E.
