Weekly Update #11

Hey Hey friends!!!
This is a super fun Weekly Update bc I’m recapping my time at the beach!!! I was at the beach from last Saturday until this past Wednesday. I spent time relaxing, eating yummy food and soaking in the sunshine. Vacation is sooo good to reset and truly relax. Now that I’m an “adult” I appreciate vacations waaaaay more. Especially recently, like has been sooo crazy wedding planning and moving Jacob into our apartment. We have been nonstop go go go so the vacation was highly appreciated and much needed.

When we got back from the beach, I had one day left in the work week which was clutch and then I was on weekend time again! #praise I spent the weekend cooking and cleaning at the new apartment, trying to unpack my winter clothes and decorating to make it feel like home. Saturday, my dad, brother, Jacob and I all went to Topgolf to celebrate my dad for Father’s day! It was a ton of fun.

Sunday, Jacob and I tried out a new church in Atlanta and we both really liked it! After church, we went to brunch at Chido and Padre’s with my family for Father’s Day! After some yummy food it was nap time. I crashed for like three hours… it was great. LOL but by the time I woke up it was time to start getting my life together for this week and finally unpacking from the beach. It was a super good week!!!

My Skin Care Routine

I have been trying to get a lot better at taking care of my skin. I realize I’m 23.. aging is real.. the sun is realer (lol) + I’m sick of always wearing makeup. I want my skin to breathe… take away all the acne scarring I have from picking my middle school acne face like a two year old picks his nose. Also, I want my makeup to sit better on my skin and last longer.

So I went on the hunt for a GREAT skincare routine.
I’ve learned that investing in skincare is one of the best things you can do for yourself. It’s sooo worth it. I have seen such a transformation in my skin the past few months since I have started this process.

Also, everyone’s skin is different and needs different things and this is the process that works for me. I have always used products targeted towards oily skin bc I thought my skin was oily, but once I started using regular products for the skin my face wasn’t as oily anymore. I’ve never been the one to be all about natural products and cautious of the products I put in my body. I know that sounds bad, but it has never been on my radar. When I do see products that are more natural, it has started peaking my interest. This skincare has been some of the first natural products I have incorporated into my life. I’m a major supporter of this line.

+ to preface… these products are expensive, I know. I’m on a budget.
However, they work.. like really work + they last soooo long bc you don’t need much product.
It’s cheaper than botox later on.

I start by taking my makeup off with Garnier Micellar Water. I love this stuff, it is so refreshing!

Next, I cleanse my skin with the jelly cleanser.

Dab my face with a dry wash cloth. I don’t rub.. just dab.

Morning:
I use the Vitamin C Day Serum
I press this product into my skin as well… not rubbing it in.

Night:
I use the Glycolic Night Serum two to three nights a week.
Again, I press into skin and not rub my face with it.

After the serums, I press with my ring finger the eye cream under and around my eyes.

I top my routine off with the polypeptide cream to moisturize my skin.

I wish I would have taken before and after pictures of my skin before using this product, but I had no idea how much it was going to transform my skin.

Since it is such a pricey product line… I recommend starting off with this kit. That way you can try the products before hand. That is what I did.

Lmk what questions y’all have about these products and I will do my best to answer them!!!

E.

#WeddingWednesday Guest Dresses

It’s 60% off right now!!!!
I seem to always have such a hard time looking for dresses to wear to weddings… but this year I’ve found so many beautiful dresses for weddings and I don’t have any to go to this summer! I’ve linked a variety of different dresses depending on the wedding you’re going to. I love wearing maxi dresses to weddings because they are so comfy and they make it perfect to wear flats and sandals to if there will be a lot of dancing.

I’ve also been loving midi dresses lately with a smaller block heel like these.
These shoes are some of the best $24 I have ever spent. They are so comfy and look much fancier than they are.

And shorter dresses look perfect with a comfy wedge. These are a pair I invested in 3 years ago and they are worth every penny. I’ve tried the knock offs of these and I do not recommend. Rarely will I tell you all to splurge unless it’s necessary!

Obvi I go for comfort when planning my outfits lol
