June 13th- June 19th

Okay, so unlike last week… this week was exciting and super fun!
So many things happened, such as….

1. I met some really awesome people on Friday. Three youtubers & bloggers had a meet up at the Lilly Pulitzer store in Phipps Plaza. If you know me, I’m obsessed with watching youtube videos and checking up on the best lifestyle and fashion blogs, so obvi I was in heaven meeting these girls. They were all so so nice and I am so thankful for the opportunity to meet these girls whom I admire so much.

2. This week I tried “The Pink Drink” from Starbucks. Omg it was so good. Deff a must try!!

3. This weekend I got to see my whole fam. Oh I love spending time with them. My cousins are simply my favorite group of people ever. I am so thankful for them.

4. I got to spend Father’s day with my Daddy and Papa.
They rock.

5. Some of my best pals & I went to see Me Before You. Oh boy did I cry or what. It was such a sweet movie. Go see it

Until next time…
XOXO,
E.

Driver’s Seat vs. Passenger seat.

Who is in control?

God is.

Not me, not you, “but God”.

It’s terrifying not knowing the future.
Not knowing where to go school, where to work, who you’re going to marry, etc.
We all stress about the big bad future.

But hey. It’s not up to us.
It’s up to God.

Yeah, that sounds petrifying.
Not knowing.

But there is actually so much beauty in that.

Ephesians 2:1-10
God took us when we were “dead in the trespasses and sin” and “children of wrath”.
BUT GOD.
He wasn’t going to leave us this way. God has bigger plans for us.

“But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ – by grace you have been saved – and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

LIKE WHAT.
Isn’t that so good???

God’s grace is not by what we have done.
It’s God’s gift to us, we can’t earn it.

However, there is a catch. “God is not going to meddle, He’s going to wait for you to COME” (Debbie Waldrep).

You have to let go & let God.

“We depend less on God & more on our own abilities to handle everyday concerns” (DW).

God is not a passenger you turn to when things turn sour.
He’s in the driver’s seat in the highs and the lows, but you have to let Him be there first.

“The more I hold on to Him, the more I am able to let go-to fully trust Him” – Babbie Mason

Do I have this figured out?
No.
It’s a choice you make on your own.

Give God the steering wheel.
Allow Him to take you to your destinations.
Be His workmanship.

XOXO,
E.

Summer Bucket List:

Summer.
It’s a wonderful time.
No school, sunshine, and a time for adventure.
I’m never been one to do much with my summer breaks. They’re normally filled with work, work, work and sleep.
However, this is most likely my last summer at home ever, so I want to make the most of it.

Here is a bucket list of what I wish to do this summer.

1. Go to Savannah, Georgia.
I’ve never been, just seen so many beautiful pictures.

2. Hike to a waterfall.

3. Photoshoots with friends.
There’s just something so exciting about getting dressed up and documenting fun times with friends. It brings out all the laughs and creates memorable times to share forever.

4. Make macaroons.

5. Go dancing.
#idontdance

6. Get a blowout at Dry Bar.

7. Atlanta Botanical Gardens.

8. Go to a Braves game.

9. Harry Potter & Hunger Games & High School Musical marathon.
(My all time fav movies)
(They all start with h)
(They’re all series… weird)

What’s on your summer bucket list?

XOXO,
E.
