My Top 5 Back To School Tips:

I hate to say it but, school is right around the corner.
Instead of dwelling on the negatives…early mornings, late nights, stress, lots of reading, exhaustion, those hills (if ya know, ya know)… let’s think about the positive.

Back to school time can be fun if you make it that way.
Here’s how I get prepared for a new semester.

1. Get a planner.
I’ve said it once and I’ve said it again. Get a planner. Use it. It will change your life. I promise. I love the Lilly Pulitzer agendas. There’s great space to write and it’s pretty. It’s the best way in my opinion to keep up with your school work and everything else you have going on.

2. Set Goals.
What do you want to accomplish this semester? Grades, social life, friends, fitness, etc.

3. Get cute school supplies.
You don’t have to spend a lot of money at all. There are plenty of DIY school supply videos on youtube you can check out. When you have school supplies you like, the more likely you’ll want to spend time doing your school work.

4. Sleep.
This could possibly be the most important tip. The better sleep you get, the better your days will be. I try to go to bed between ten and eleven every night that way I can get my eight hours of sleep!

5. Don’t procrastinate.
Procrastination is the worst thing to do. Keep up with your school work and don’t wait to do it. Start assignments as soon as possible and work on school work every day.

Good luck this school year!! You’re going to rock it!

Summer Night Routine

Well since summer is almost over and I am about to head back to school, I thought it was time to post my night routine.
Better late than never right?
Obviously this varies from night to night but I try my best to keep a scheduled routine just to make my days easier.
5:00
I get off of work at 5. So i head back home.
5:30
I get home and immediately change into my workout clothes.
5:45
I usually check my social media, emails and catch up on you tube videos and watch some netflix just to relax and unwind for a little bit.
7:00
This can change depending on the weather, but normally at 7 I try to head on out to go run. I like to run at the high school and I try to run a 5k or I run a mile and a half to two miles and then run stadiums.
8:00
After my run I either go pick up food or go home to cook something quick. Then i’ll sit and enjoy my meal by catching up on tv shows.
9:00
I shower and get ready for bed.
10:00
I head to bed. My fav. I read my bible, a chapter in my book and try to catch some z’s. I try to be asleep by 11:00-11:30 to get a good nights rest.
This is what most summer nights look like for me! I know, it’s so exciting.
What’s your summer night routine?
Until next time.
XOXO,
E.

2. Seasalt Spray.
I’m really into not doing my hair during the summer. It’s just so much nicer. RT if ya feel me.
I got this seasalt spray in my birchbox and I love it. My hair looks perfectly beach-y after using it!

3. Chipotle. I’ve always been a fan but this month I’ve eaten it so much! It’s nice and refreshing for hot summer days. Perfect for a mid week pick me up.

4. I’ve been a big fan of being lazy.
It’s bad I know but, I just love laying in bed after a long day at work. It’s a habit I need to break.

5. Music.
No longer Slaves-Bethel

6. The beach.
This month I got the opportunity to spend the week at the beach with my family. (I blogged about it)

7. I’ve been reading Leah Remini’s book, Troublemaker.
It’s really good and really sad to see all she has gone through in her life. & who doesn’t love King of Queens?

8. Netflix pick.
I’ve been re-watching PLL. Yes, I’ve been addicted since the beginning but re-watching the show I’ve remembered so much. It’s an addicting show.

This month was full of relaxation and rejuvenation. Next month is going to be crazy. Going back to school, recruitment, a new apartment, it’s going to be a lot but I’m excited.

Until next time.

E.
