Ring by Spring + Timing

I ordered my Clemson ring last week.
Clemson rings are basically class rings. I never got a high school ring bc I honestly did not see the point. However, I have waited my whole life for my Clemson ring. Pretty much everyone who goes to Clemson gets a ring. It’s a symbol of pride saying “I went to Clemson”. I love going to random placed and seeing people wearing this iconic ring.

In elementary school, both of my art teachers had went to Clemson. I knew bc they wore their rings everyday. And I always remember looking at them imagining the day I would get mine.

My best pals + I went last week and ordered them. It’s crazy to see how fast time has flown by and how incredible it feels to know I will finally be able to look at my right ring finger everyday and remember my time at Clemson. It’s so bittersweet.

“Everything happens in its own time”

“God’s got His own plan”

These are all statements we hear and say all the time, I know I do.
I know it’s true, but I feel like I don’t always totally believe it.
I just overthink everything + wonder what is really going to happen instead of enjoying the moment and fulling resting in God’s plan.

What I’ve learned through seasons of life is it’s not about what we want. God knows best. His plan truly is greater than whatever we could imagine. He knows us better than we will ever know ourselves.

I don’t know what you’re waiting on. I don’t know what you’re expecting to happen.

For me, it’s clarity as to what comes after college bc ya girl is clueless.

But whatever happens, I know I will walk through that next season knowing it’s what God wants for me and it is going to grow me into a better person and grow my relationship w/ Him.

RECRUITMENT

Round one: Open House

Round Two: Philanthropy
+Solar Eclipse Day

Round Three: Sisterhood

Round Four: Preference
So recruitment officially ended on Sunday! It was honestly so much fun. I loved being able to meet so many people and share with them why I love SK! Recruitment was really long days, late nights, lots of caffeine, lack of sleep, & lots of pizza. I am officially 100% exhausted, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. As my time as AVP of Membership is coming to a close, I am so thankful for the opportunity to serve my chapter and I have grown so much as a person. It has challenged me in the best of ways. 10/10 recommend taking up a leadership role. Seeing how incredible our new PC is totally makes all the sleepless nights worth it!! I’m so sad this was my last recruitment in Sigma Kappa. I’m for sure going to miss it.

Go Greek!
Go Sigma Kappa!
Go Tigers!

XOXO,
E.

How to Boost Your Mood

The stressful times are here. School, work, clubs, everything starts now! During this time it is so important to take time for yourself and to take time to replenish and revive you personally in order to keep moving.
#TreatYoSelf

Here are some of my my fav things to do to boost my mood and just to take some time for myself.

1. Read your bible.
Open the bible, pick a book and read. Really dig into it and see what God wants to teach you during this time. Let Him fill you up.

2. Take one night.
Take a break out of your busy schedule for yourself. Plan a “me” night. Make yourself a yummy and nutritious dinner, take a long hot shower, turn on your favorite movie, paint your nails, light a candle, do a face mask. It’s so simple but so so good for you! “Me” time is important!

3. Jam out.
Make a super upbeat and fun playlist and just have a 10 minute dance party to start your day. It’ll get your adrenaline pumping, bring a smile to your face and make you want to have a great day!!

4. Call a friend.
There’s nothing like calling “the funny friend” when you’re feeling down and having them cheer you up with all their life happenings and some silly jokes! It’ll take your mind off of your own issues for a few mins!

5. Be productive.
Make a To-Do list and go ham (tbt Kanye reference circa 2011), whether it’s school assignments, work or cleaning your apartment being productive is THE BEST feeling + to do lists are my fav!!

6. Read
Pick up a book you’ve been wanting to read and go for it. Dive into a different world for a chapter (or twelve) and experience something new!

What do you like to do to boost your mood???

E.
