Weekly Updates: May 15-21st

1. This week was full swing. My internship’s big event was Wednesday-Sunday.
The event brought in people from all over the world. It was so cool getting to meet people from so many different places. I learned a lot this through this event and I’m super happy I got to be apart of it!

2. Through the craziness of this week, I didn’t have much free time. However, when I did I found myself either watching Netflix (duh) or reading a new book. I’m currently reading “First Women”. It’s all about the first ladies and their time in the white house & their relationship to each other. Check it out!

3. For my job, I got to go on a dinner cruise on the lake. It was really cool. Food, boating & I brought my mom as my date (: My mom hates boats so she was freaking out the whole time. That was funny too LOL

4. I had chipotle twice last week. PTL.

5. I saw Neighbors 2. Funny, yes. Inappropriate, yes. Smokin hot Zac, priceless.

XOXO,
E.

The truth about summer

May has been a busy, relaxing, crazy, adjusting month.
The first month of summer.
Sunshine, pools, beaches, tans, sleeping in.
Well, that’s what we all anticipate those last week of finals.
But, in reality those summers ended when we turned 16 and finally had to get jobs.

Now summers consist of waking up at 7am or earlier.
Working all day, either for minimum wage or simply for an internship.

I haven’t laid by a pool this summer.
I haven’t gotten even a slight tan.
I slept in twice (woohoo).

Now we long for the day we get to go back to school.
WHAT.
Yes, I want to go back to school.

What happened to summer?
What happened to the most wonderful days?

We grew up.

Now we have to find joy in summer again.
Be lazy on days off.
Shop.
Walk in the sun.
Find joy in the little things.

XOXO,
E.

Shop Til I Drop

I confess, I am a shopaholic. I know it & anyone who has ever met me knows it. I just love getting a new outfit and feeling so great about myself. (Disclaimer: I know I don’t need cute clothes to feel good about myself). Shopping is just a fun hobby. Throughout the years, I have found my style and of course my favorite places to shop, so I’d love to share my favorite places with you all!

1. Okay. This place is holy grail. I probably shop here on weekly basis, actually yeah I do shop there on a weekly basis. Dress Up. Dress Up is a boutique with lots of locations in Georgia and South Carolina. The style is on point and the purpose of the store is something I’m very passionate about.
+ I’m an itGirl for the store (aka brand rep)
My discount code is EJOHNSON10 for 10% off!

2. Old Navy.
It’s not just your typical stay at home mom store anymore, maybe sometimes. They carry a lot of J.Crew knock-offs. bc who can really afford J.Crew… not this college gal.

3. With that being said, J.Crew specifically J.Crew Factory (bc college duh). I definitely have a preppy style and J.Crew is the epitome of any and all preppy style.

4. Fiore Boutique.
Located in GA & SC. Everything is pretty and preppy and they carry Lilly + bright colors galore. It’s such a fun and lively place to shop with great products.

5. Lilly Pulitzer.
Bright colors.
Beautiful patterns.
Impeccable quality.
Wow.

I encourage you to check these places out & let me know what ya’ll think!

XOXO,
E.
