Ballin on a Budget:

I don’t know about ya’ll but I am absolutely broke 100% of the time #college. I’m not joking, the struggle is real. & it doesn’t help that I’m also a shopaholic. So over the years I’ve developed my best ways on how to save & shop at the same time.

Here are my tips:

1. TJ Maxx, Home Goods and Marshall’s are gifts from God.
Designer brands, stationary, make up, beauty products and more.
There’s great stuff at great prices.

*buy your perfume here*
They have all the designer perfumes at great prices.
This is where I got my Honey by Marc Jacobs perfume.

2. Old Navy.
Yeah, it’s not just the mom store anymore. There are fantastic basics and even J.Crew knock-offs.

3. Sales.
Dress Up has sales pretty much every weekend.
+ I have a 10% code I use ALL the time (EJOHNSON10)

4. End of Season.
Towards the end of every season, stores put all of their seasonal items on sale at great prices.
I recently got two tops, a bathing suit top and shorts from Old Navy for $35!!

5. Coupons.
When waiting in line to check out, google coupons for the store that you’re at. Even if it’s just a little bit, everything helps.

6. Student discounts.
Most stores give a certain percentage off of your total with proof of your student ID.

Hop ya’ll enjoy your shopping sprees!!!

Until next time.

XOXO,
E.

Style Icons

I would describe my style as girly, preppy, classic, colorful and prissy. I love looking nice and I love looking lazy, it honestly just depends on the day. I love following fashion bloggers and vloggers online to keep up with the latest trends. There are also people throughout history and in the present that I admire their style.

Here are my Style Icons:

Jacqueline Kennedy.

Her style is perfect. Classy, elegant and always put together. She’s famous for her grace. In the midst of all that was thrown her way she always persevered and stood tall.

Blair Waldorf.

Yes, I know she is a fictional character but she is so great. Her style is fun, vibrant, preppy, put together and bold. She’s worn some crazy things before but they are all perfect for her.

Sarah Belle.

She is a You Tube beauty vlogger and has great style. Her hair is always perfected teased and has fabulous lipstick. Her style goes between preppy and boho. It’s a great combination.

Until next time.

XOXO,
E.

My Top 5 Back To School Tips:

I hate to say it but, school is right around the corner.
Instead of dwelling on the negatives…early mornings, late nights, stress, lots of reading, exhaustion, those hills (if ya know, ya know)… let’s think about the positive.

Back to school time can be fun if you make it that way.
Here’s how I get prepared for a new semester.

1. Get a planner.
I’ve said it once and I’ve said it again. Get a planner. Use it. It will change your life. I promise. I love the Lilly Pulitzer agendas. There’s great space to write and it’s pretty. It’s the best way in my opinion to keep up with your school work and everything else you have going on.

2. Set Goals.
What do you want to accomplish this semester? Grades, social life, friends, fitness, etc.

3. Get cute school supplies.
You don’t have to spend a lot of money at all. There are plenty of DIY school supply videos on youtube you can check out. When you have school supplies you like, the more likely you’ll want to spend time doing your school work.

4. Sleep.
This could possibly be the most important tip. The better sleep you get, the better your days will be. I try to go to bed between ten and eleven every night that way I can get my eight hours of sleep!

5. Don’t procrastinate.
Procrastination is the worst thing to do. Keep up with your school work and don’t wait to do it. Start assignments as soon as possible and work on school work every day.

Good luck this school year!! You’re going to rock it!
